Yay. We've finally figured out how to creat a blog for family and friends to read the latest news about our adoption in Guatemala. We are so excited to bring a new baby boy into our lives and know he will be loved by many. At this point, our DNA is completed and was a match last week. We are now in another waiting period at this point (we're not really sure what happens in between DNA testing and the next step) but are getting closer to going into PGN which is the last step. This step however, can take a long time unfortunately and other friends adopting in Guatemala have been sitting in PGN for 52 days or more. Although the waiting period is killing us, we are so looking forward to the first day we get to meet Blake this summer. It looks like we will be going to Antigua, Guatemala the second or third week of July and I will stay (Chris has to return to work) for at least 3 weeks. Grandma Bennett and Williams plan to come meet us there! Since this blog site is new to us, please bear with us as we get used to it (if you see pictures posted in strange places, you'll know we are novices).
Hello! Today we received a 3 1/2 month medical update as well as photos! We had been waiting for them for 35 days so it was nice to see how Blake is growing. We love his chunky little legs and dimples on his elbows. We cannot wait to meet him in July. We can hardly wait.
